For the Children of GaRankuwa

I usually experience a uniquely powerful moment during our Global Mission to South Africa and our recent trip was no exception.   The magical moment happened this year while meeting the children who come from the various homesteads to attend school.

In the face of one young girl, I saw innocence, wonder, hope and potential. It pierced my heart.  She had just given me a big hug and shyly scurried off with her gaze fixed on me when this picture was snapped.  My immediate sense was one of gratitude for the life-changing impact for the children, their families and communities. I didn't know her name at the time, but we were able to ensure she would be a sponsorship recipient.

My prayer is that we could sponsor even more children and, with your help, we can.

First, know that just $30 USD sponsors a child for a full year and can potentially cover a combination of tuition, uniforms and shoes, as well as voucher for the family to purchase food.

Second, know that 100% of your donation goes directly to the children.

To support the Global Mission to South Africa of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, simply scan the QR code below (by pointing your camera at it) to open a browser link to our donation page.

Thank you for your compassion for the children and heartfelt donation.  No matter the amount, it's a blessing and we pray that blessings return to you a hundred fold.

A Strong, Confident Woman

This quote really spoke to me and my journey. When I think about my past and the path I've traveled, I know without a doubt that every experience and every decision has resulted in the woman of faith that I am today.

We all have a past and we have all made decisions..good and bad. What should be the focus, is not the test; but the testimony.  How we overcame our obstacles is the praise report we should share to inspire others.  We are each called to be a "a strong, confident woman who knows who she is."

Walking into your impossibilities means not living in your past.  We must stand strong in our faith and walk boldly into those things that may seem impossible or improbable.  When you are called by God for an assignment whether it's to ministry, parenthood, business or service, know that the path has already been prepared.  It doesn't mean that the road will be easy, but that you have been uniquely equipped for whatever God has called you to do.

What a BLESSING - South Africa 2019

This ministry adheres to the dictates of the
Great Commission as outlined in
Matthew 28:19-20...
Go into the uttermost parts of the world and make disciples.

Greetings and blessings from South Africa! We are here supporting the women of Ndebele Village whose rich culture of artistry design, dance and language is known throughout the world.  It has been 20 years and the blessing of being able to give back to the children and families continues to warm my heart.

With America being so rich, it's hard to imagine what just $30 a year can do. Through our historic church, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, we are able to provide tuition, uniforms and shoes for the children and a voucher the family can use to purchase food.

We are grateful for our church and many others who keep us lifted in prayer and provide financial support.  We would not be able to do what we do without you.  Your ongoing support is vital as we are led to do even more.

Fearfully & Wonderfully Made!

I give praise today and am empowered because I AM.  I know that I was created to do great works because I AM fearfully and wonderfully made!  YOU ARE too, so be encouraged.

I praise you because I am fearfully & wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful.
I know that full well.
Psalm 139:14

Transformation: A Renewing Of The Mind

What a perfect time of year to consider who we really are and what we really want. It’s so much more than the general exercise of making New Year Resolutions...80% of which are long forgotten by mid-February.  My annual practice has been doing the introspective work of renewing my mind and thoughts to bring about a long-lasting transformation.

As we turned the page on one chapter of our lives (2018) and begin to write the next chapter (2019), we must start by determining who we are, who we want be and what we really want.  I’ve learned that the most effective approach is to seek clarity and an understanding of my innermost desire for the type of lifestyle I truly want to live.

Be ye transformed by the renewing of the mind.” Romans 12:2

How we start this new chapter is very important; so, in my first blog post of 2019, I wanted to share my process with you…

A Purpose For It All...

Be encouraged and remain faithful,
God has a purpose and a plan for it all.

We often become discouraged and give up before the blessing can be revealed.  Have you ever had an experience like this?  If so, you know first hand that 'giving up' opens the floodgates to feelings of inadequacies and defeat.  These effects can easily have a lasting residual impact on decisions we make (or don't make) moving forward.

Oprah has been quoted as saying, "Everything is a blessing or a lesson" which is so true.  If we look to learn the lesson, the results become less significant while the lesson itself prepares us for the future.

It makes us...
Wiser.
Stronger.
More confident.
Clearer & More Focused.

As you think on these things, be encouraged to continue to walk into your impossibilities.
